WHAT: The California Gaming Association is partnering with the California Office of Problem Gambling to call attention to National Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March. This is an important time to educate the public about gambling disorder – a condition that is defined as a persistent and recurrent problematic gambling behavior leading to clinically significant impairment or distress. According to the Office of Problem Gambling, approximately 2,000 Californians are treated for gambling disorder through the California Gambling Education and Treatment Services program annually.
